A new generation of superhumans is recruited by the Avengers to create the army of superheroes envisioned by Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic. Sent to a new training facility in what was once Stamford Connecticut, the facility is overseen by Henry Peter Gyrich. But while Iron Man's vision was of an army of superheroes... Gyrich wants to have his own super-human army.
