This is a biographical account of one NASCAR’s most popular and successful drivers, Dale Earnhardt (Barry Pepper). The film traces his life from a young boy, who admires his father’s ability to drive race cars, all the way to his tragic death in the last lap of the 2001 Daytona 500. It tells of his dropping out of high school to pursue his dream of becoming a stock car legend, and the bond it formed with his father and more recently with his son, Dale Jr. The film is a must for any Dale Earnhardt and moreover for any NASCAR or sports fan.
