Another classic is resurrected in this 2005 remake of the H.G. Wells realistic alien invasion, “The War of the Worlds”. In this retelling of the story a meteor crashes to Earth at the end of the 19th century in a remote English countryside. This brings many spectators from all over to view this incident but when Martian invaders rise up from the crater things take a dramatic turn for the worst. This invasion is seen through the eyes of a man who we only know of as The Writer (Anthony Piana) finds himself fighting for not only his own survival but that of mankind itself as society collapses and Earth is thrust into a war of the worlds.
