Carmen Colson is working as an estate agent and is very happy along with her husband Wayne (Thomas Jane), who she convinces to submit a job interview at her company. When Wayne comes to the interview, instead of finding dandy and elegant dressed managers, he finds two criminals who were planning to rob the agency. After the assassins, Armand "The Blackbird" Degas (Mickey Rourke) and Richie Nix (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), fail their first attempt to kill the Colsons, the latter are included in a federal program of witness protection and are advised by the FBI to move to another city. But the two psycho criminals are decided to erase all the evidence that might incriminate them and plan to kill any person who could link them to the crime place.
