The Inside Man is the portrayal of the true events surrounding the presence of a Russian submarine in Sweden during the Cold War. A U. S. government official named Miller (Dennis Hopper) investigates the destruction of a Swedish corporation led by scientist Paul Mandell (Hardy Kruger). The industry ominously, at the time was developing a new state of the art submarine tracker which was stolen when the company was destroyed. Now Miller must work with Swedish intelligence to track down those responsible for the robbery as well as the tracker which holds incredible power for he who possesses it. Ultimately they begin to believe that it was stolen by someone inside the company, and they plant undercover agents everywhere to find the thief.
