The Red Skelton Show was a very popular comedy variety staring the late comedian Red Skelton. Each episode consisted to Red doing stand up comedy, comedy sketches, and parodies with one particular featured special guest celebrity. Over the course of the shows run on television, Skelton featured many distinguished guests including Vincent Price and Boris Karloff, and also performed his world famous clown routine quite often and his raucous audience’s clamor. His comedy varied form serious satirical parody to the ever popular zany slap stick routines he was most popular for. His humor was at times biting, but was always in good fun which is why the show was so popular with a diverse audience.
