Sorting changes the order in which your albums are displayed. You can sort your albums in various ways. The most basic way to do this is by clicking a column header, but you can also use the sort button and pick a field to sort on.
Sorting by clicking a column header
This is the easiest way to change the order of your albums. While in list view, you can click a column header to immediately sort your albums on that field. Click it again to reverse the sort order.
For example, you can click the Year column header to sort your albums by Year:
Sorting using the sort button
Sorting using the sort button gives you some more power to sort your albums. To begin, click the sort button on the toolbar:
Find the field you wish to sort on on the left side (you can also use the search box at the top) and use the checkbox to select the field. Then choose if you wish to sort ascending (ASC) or descending (DESC). Click “OK” to save your sort order.
Want to group your items together in folders? Check out how to do that under “Using folders”.
