Trailer
Plot
MacArthur is a biographical account of powerful and controversial United States Army Five-Star General, Douglas MacArthur (Gregory Peck). The film covers MacArthur’s life from his humble, yet comfortable beginnings to his distinguished service in the military as a soldier and commanding officer all the way to his greatest shame of being dismissed from the service by President Truman after the disastrous Korean War. Ever present is the drive and resilience, as well as the arrogance and narcissism that led to MacArthur’s great rise up the ranks and his mid-1950’s fall from grace. The film concludes by further acknowledging MacArthur’s impact and significance throughout history.
