"The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving" continues the story of the dinosaur characters living in the Great Valley. They find their survival threatened when a meteorite shower causes a rockslide that dams up the only available water. So Littlefoot (Scott McAfee) and friends head out in search of a new source of water, with a band of their enemies at their heels. The young villains, Hyp (Whitley Hertford), Mutt (Jeff Bennett) and Nod (Scot Menville) lay claim to the lake that Littlefoot's gang discovers. Meanwhile, wildfire threatens to destroy the tinder-dry Valley, and the trio of bullies is right in its path. Littlefoot and his pals put aside their differences, arriving just in time to save Hyp from a tar pit that is about to swallow him up. The youngsters learn a lesson of friendship, and how there is strength in unity. A lesson that ultimately saves the day.
