Sandy, (Catherine Zeta–Jones), is a recent divorcee at the age of forty and the mother of two children, Frank (Jake Cherry) and Sadie (Kelly Gould). She tries to mend her life by accepting a job at a sports network. She also locates an apartment above a coffee shop. Aram (Justin Bartha), a young man in his mid-twenties, is working in the coffee shop and he is also on the verge of a divorce. Sandy is attracted by the charm of Aram and she appoints him nanny of her children. Slowly, their relationship develops, and they fall in love. They have to find the logical end to their love despite the age difference between them.
