The Vuillard family gathers together at Christmas time after it is discovered that mother Junon (Catherine Deneuve) needs a bone marrow transplant from a relative, or else she will die in a few short months. However, many of the family members have their own issues to deal with that may get in the way of helping their mother. Elizabeth (Anne Consigny) paid her brother Henri's (Mathiieu Amalric) debts years ago, with the condition that she never wanted to see him again. Meanwhile, Elizabeth's son, Paul (Emile Berling), is fighting with some mental problems and faces an upcoming clinical exam to determine the cause of his problems. With all of these personal problems in the way, will the Vuillard family find a way to come together and find a bone marrow donor among them to help save their mother Junon?
